Stock preparation, paper machine and finishing equipment were based on the successful know–how and the greatest experience in using bagasse stock for the production of writing / printing papers
3.1) Stock preparation .
Stock preparation system consisting of :-

Wood pulp line :-
Designed to handle 100 BDMTPD of imported baled bleached long fiber wood pulp .
The system includes a dewiring conveyor, a batch operated pulper , a high density cleaner , a deflaker , double disc refiners , then stock is fed to the metering station .

Chemical Bagasse Pulp Line :-
Designed to handle 250 BDMTPD of bleached chemical bagasse pulp .The stock flows through a double disc refiner to the metering station.

Chemi – Thermo – Mechanical bagasse pulp :-
Designed to handle 200 BDMTPD of bleached chemi –thermo – mechanical bagasse pulp .
No pulp treatment was planned in this line before it is fed to the metering system .

Broke line :-
The broke pulpers under the PM are dimensioned for the slushing of the full paper sheet at maximum speed .The line consists of high consistency purification and deflaking .

White water and fiber recovery line :-
A disc filter was installed for fiber recovery of all excess white water. Cloudy , clear and super clear filtrates are collected in separate chests for reuse .
- Approach flow system :-
The system is equipped with a 5- stage deculator –cleaner – system for fine cleaning of the entire suspensions fed into the head box i.e. in the main line and in the white water line of the MODULE JET. Latest type of screens are placed between deculator and MODULE JET .
3.2) Paper Machine.
As special emphasis was put to high efficiency and easy operation the paper machine has been equipped with the most developed sections to achieve uniform quality and high runnability as briefly presented hereinafter .The layout provides also for the flexibility of future purposes of production.

Headbox :-
As quality starts with headbox , the MODULE JET type was being utilized for the highest level of profile uniformity concerning fiber and filler distribution , best cross direction (CD) mass profile and best fiber orientation to prevent curl
The MODULE JET headbox satisfies the printing presses with the uniform paper without disturbance there .

Wire section :-
The machine is equipped with a twin wire forming section for best formation and uniform profiles , provided with a jet cleaner which is an optimal cleaning device .
The surprising good formation is attributable to the arranged drainage , from pulsation free drainage in the forming roll to the forming unit with adjustable blades arranged opposite to each other. This ensures a flexible drainage curve so that the paper can be produced with variable filler distribution and best formation .

Press section :-
The press section is provided to achieve the highest possible dryness after presses and best runnability.The configuration is a 3-nip press “ DuoCentriNipcoFlex press , consisting of a crown – controlled Nipco roll, a suction press roll , a ceramic covered crown controlled Nipco center roll and a NipcoFlex shoe – press .This configuration guarantees a high dry content of the web after press section and consequently higher speed and more paper web strength in the first open – draw to withstand the pulling forces from wet to dry section .
The press section is equipped with a steam box with its servo valves located in a station outside the paper machine and their motors are controlled from the control room monitor by the cross – machine profile control system .

Dryer Section :-
A dryer section was provided with best evaporation , ropeless threading and suitable cleaning devices with sheet stabilizers in the downrun and no basement installation in the pre dryer section .The after dryer section was designed with a double tier arrangement to influence curl .

Speedsizer :-
The application of size and color is done with a Speedsizer ( a premetering size press ).
Size and /or color is applied by nozzle applicators to rolls and transferred to the paper .The system includes a contactless paper run via an airturn which ensures increased dryness and better evaporation.

Soft –Nip Calender :-
A tandem soft- nip calender was provided with crown controlled rolls ( Swimming rolls ) and thermorolls .

Pope Reel :-
A complete reel system with automatic reel spool feeding was provided . The reel change is realized by an automatic changing equipment

Finishing section :-
A TORO winder with roll transport and packaging system was provided.

Services :-
Electric power is generated by a high pressure steam turbine. Steam is utilized from an oil – fired high pressure boiler .Low pressure steam is used in process requirement .
Modern water treatment and effluent systems ensure fresh water purity and environment – friendly wastewater disposal .
Well equipped servicing and maintenance facilities are also provided.
A pressurized heating screw follows after which bagasse is fed to the primary pressurized single disc refiner .The pulp is then blown to an intermediate chest.
After a certain retention time and through a dewatering screw press, pulp is conveyed to a secondary atmospheric single disc refiner after which it is fed to screening and cleaning system .
